It was Hewitt Memorial Cup quarter finals day this morning and congratulations to the victors – The Tips, Tendring Borough, Toosey & Old Heath. No rest for the wicked though as we’re straight into the semi-finals this week with The Tips facing Old Heath and Tendring v Toosey. Good luck to all four sides. It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of League Registration Secretary, Bob Warner. Bob will be familiar to you all, given his many years of service to The Colchester & District Sunday League and his most recent role as Registration Secretary and has been involved in grassroots football for over 30 years. From this season onwards, Mile End and Shrub End will have moveable goals instead of the static goals previously in place. Whilst the league acknowledges that this will require a small amount of extra work for teams, we do believe that if looked after correctly,this will greatly improve the quality of the penalty areas, particularly at Shrub End. Important Info – Tendring pitches

Please be advised that due to a delay with the water testing within the Changing Rooms at Eastcliff, these are currently out of action and therefore any fixtures that require a Tendring District Council pitch will be played at Vista Road Leisure Centre until we are told otherwise. Please also note that Tendring District Council have informed the League that the Cricket Club Changing Rooms at Vista Road are to be used for Sunday Football.
